Courtney H. Warner has been licensed to practice law in Virginia since 2001. Courtney’s practice focuses on the areas of elder law and estate planning. She advises clients on legal issues that arise as they navigate the aging process and on options for protecting assets. She is a member of VAELA, the Virginia Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
Courtney attended the University of Virginia, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1997. She graduated from George Mason University School of Law in 2001 and worked as a law clerk for Justice Donald Lemons at the Virginia Supreme Court the following year.
She and her husband, John, moved to Winchester in 2004. Courtney spent 19 years working in the field of family and child advocacy, serving as a Guardian ad Litem for children in welfare and custody cases. She also worked with adults in Guardianship cases and as a Supreme Court-certified mediator in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Courts.
Courtney is active in her church, and she and her husband serve on the Winchester Young Life Committee. She is currently a board member at the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum and just finished her second term as Trustee for Shenandoah Valley Westminster Canterbury.
