Erin Truban Gramling was born and raised in Winchester, Virginia. She has been licensed to practice law since 2004. Erin’s practice concentrates in the areas of estate planning and administration, and health care.

Erin attended the University of Virginia, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with Distinction in 2000. She worked as a registered nurse before pursuing her law degree. Erin graduated from the Villanova University School of Law in 2004.

Erin’s estate planning practice includes the drafting of wills, living trusts, powers of attorney, advance medical directives, guidance on retitling assets to minimize probate procedures, special needs trusts and elder care issues, and planning for disability or incapacity. Erin’s estate administration practice includes handling estates as administrator, trustee, or conservator, as well as assisting administrators, executors, trustees, and conservators with inventories, accounting, and representation at debts and demands hearings.

As an attorney, Erin has represented patients, health care entities, and medical professionals in employment and compliance matters, including EEOC appeal defense, FMLA compliance, and HIPAA and health privacy law compliance. Erin also represents small businesses in commercial disputes and employment matters. While practicing with an Alexandria firm, Erin also represented nursing homes and long-term care facilities in malpractice and wrongful death cases. Erin has handled guardianships, conservatorships and cases involving incapacity of the elderly and others.
