Mary Catherine joined Owen and Truban in 2025. Her primary areas of focus include estate planning and elder law. Before joining the firm, Mary Catherine worked at the Virginia Office of the Attorney General and clerked for the Hon. Edward A. Robbins in Chesterfield, VA.

Mary Catherine graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2022, where she was President of the UR student chapter of the Virginia Bar Association. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Maryland State Bar. She graduated cum laude from the College of William and Mary in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology. She is also a recipient of the Girl Scout Gold Award.

Mary Catherine currently lives in Winchester with her fiancé, William Truban, III, and their two coonhounds. She is originally from Botetourt County in Southwest Virginia.
